Depois do anúncio do novo filme o site oficial da franchise anime inspirada no manga Ghost in the Shell de Masamune Shirow revelou agora na comemoração dos 25 anos que vai estrear este ano nas TVs nipónicas uma nova série anime de Ghost in the Shell que para desagrado dos fãs mais devotos vai ser baseada em Ghost in the Shell Arise e não em Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.
